We are now a member of new initiative to support non-profit organizations called GoodSearch. This organization is a web search portal powered by Yahoo! that serves up web links just like Yahoo! or Google does. The difference is that a portion of the profits generated through the advertisements served up on a GoodSearch page are donated to the organization selected by the individual doing the search.

We receive approximately $.01 for each search conducted. With enough people using GoodSearch selected to support Harrison High School we could make a sizeable amount of money. In order to test the program Mr. Gumula searched through GoodSearch for two weeks, and generated $1.00 in profits just using the Internet as he does typically. Doing some simple math: 100 particpants x $.50 every week = $50/week. Multiply this by 52 weeks in a year and we could generate $2600 per year! If each family gets one other person to support us through GoodSearch we can double this profit!!

In order to begin supporting Harrison Instrumental Music by searching with GoodSearch do the following:

• Visit GoodSearch.com.
• Verify that Harrison High School (Evansville, IN) is selected under the "Who Do You GoodSearch For?" caption. If it is, you're all set, start searching!

If Harrison High School [Evansville, IN] does not appear under the "Who Do You GoodSearch For?" caption, do the following:

• Underneath "Who Do You Search For?" enter Harrison and click "Verify".
• Find "Harrison High School (Evansville, IN)" in the drop-down list and click on it.
• We are now selected as the group for whom your search revenue should be directed. Our instrumental music department will receive these funds.
• You may return to this page to conduct searches (Press Control-D to save the page as a bookmark, or you can follow the instructions on the page to add GoodSearch to your Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Mac toolbar. A link also exists on the instrumental music webpage.
• Periodically check to be sure Harrison remains selected as your organization. Your selection is stored as a cookie and should remain, but if it does not you will need to choose it again in order to ensure that your search profits are correctly credited to our account.

Be sure to tell everyone you know about this program. It costs nothing, is easy to use, and has the potential to generate a terrific amount of revenue if we can get the word out to as many people as possible!
