Each year the instrumental music boosters offer a $200 scholarship in conjunction with Opus1 Music to one graduating senior band, and one senior orchestra, member. Part of the application process is an essay which details what they gained through their participation in the program. Below are several students' responses. No names have been attached, and each individual has given consent for their essay to be published here. Please read what these graduates have to say, in their own words, in their own hanwriting. It is a most profound endorsement of participation in instrumental music.
